Happy Faces Daycare & Pre-school is looking for Lead and Assistant Teachers. Lead Teachers must have at least CDA, Associates, or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, etc., with at least one (1) year experience as Lead Teacher in a daycare/pre-school setting. Assistant Teachers must have at least a high school diploma and 6 months+ experience working with young children. Light lifting is required and we do go outside for play so the candidate must be in good medical condition. Benefits include paid holidays, vacation time, medical insurance reimbursement, and help to further your education are available after one year of employment. We are looking for long-term, committed teachers. Pay will depend on your education and experience level. All interested applicants please e-mail your resume. We are specifically looking for a teacher who loves working with infants and children under age two. If wanting full time, the shift is 8-5 PM Monday through Friday. If wanting a part time position, the shift is 8-2 PM.

To wrap up a fantastic summer, our children and teacher’s held an art show for parents to see what they have been working on all summer. We had an amazing turn out and the children were SO proud to show of their artwork!

Today our children had a visit from Rachel at Reptiles Alive! Our children got to meet and greet turtles, snakes, frogs and a blue-tongue skink!
They learned about what type of food these reptiles eat, where they are from and how they came to live at Reptiles Alive!

Today the children in our Pre-K II class explored water tubes of various sizes with funnels to see how long the water would take to come out of the bottom. This activity was a lot of FUN on a hot day and also wallet-friendly!
All materials you need can be found at Dollar Tree; Pool noodles, funnels and zip ties! This costs about $12 to make (depending on how many noodles you want)!

With summer temperatures reaching into the 90’s outside, it is important to remind caregivers of children to “Look before you lock” to avoid children being left in hot cars.
Some important safety tips to prevent a tragedy from happening include putting your purse, cell phone or left shoe in the backseat with your child.
